Steven George Gerrard is English international professional football player. The young star has spent his entire career playing for Liverpool Football Club. Steven has spent his life supporting Liverpool FC ever since he was a young boy. He was born in Whinston Merseyside, where he first started playing football. His first played for Whinston Juniors where he was spotted by a Liverpool scout at the young age of nine. He had various trials with many clubs but was successful till he signed for Liverpool on the 5th of November 1997.

He played In the midfield position when he made his debut for Liverpool in 1998. He has made over 366 appearance for Liverpool and scored 80 goals since his professional career started.

It was not long after is Liverpool debut that he was picked to play for the England International side. Since 2000 when he was first picked to play he has played 87 times and scored 19 goals.

During the FIFA World cup 2010 Steven Gerrard was made England captain. He took over the captaincy from Rio Ferdinand who was injured during training. England manager Fabio Capello thought Steven was the right played for the job as he had the most caps and was very passionate about the competition.

He is married and has 2 daughters. His wife Alex Curran is renowned for being a fashion journalists. Steven Gerrarrd is a very level headed player who is known for his passion whilst playing for his club and country. It is believed that Steven will always play for Liverpool.

Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima also known as Ronaldo is a World Champion professional football star. He was born In Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He has been playing football from an early age on the streets of Brazil.

He is one of the most prolific goal scorers in the World due to is position as striker. He has played in many professional teams. His career started in 1993 and is still playing today. Over the years he has played in many professional teams across the globe including Cruzeiro, PSV, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Milan. At the age of 33 he is still playing professional football for Corinthians. This is a relatively unknown Brazilian side but are one of the most successful in Brazil.

Ronaldo has won many championships and awards throughout his career including Ballon d’Or European footballer of the year 1997 and again in 2002, FIFA player of the year 3 times and was named one of the eleven best starting players by France football. He has also be named in the FIFA 100 a list of all the greatest footballing stars. This list was compiled in 2010 and also listed players such as Pele.

Ronaldo has suffered from some injury’s over the years including a ruptured kneecap ligament at the end of his last season with Milan. After his injury his contract was not renewed.

The international début for Ronaldo came in 1994. He was just 17 when he travelled to the US to participate in the World Cup he never played in this game but this was just the start of his international career.

Robert Frederick Chelsea Moore or Bobby Moore as he is commonly known as, is a footballing legend. He was an English footballing hero who was part of the team that won the 1966 World Cup. He was born in Barking, London on 12th April 1941.

He spent his professional career playing for West Ham United, Fulham, San Antonio Thunder, Seattle Sounders and Herning Fremad. He was captain of the West Ham team for more then 10 years from 1958 – 1974. Not only was he playing for England when they won the 1966 World Cup but he was the captain. Every footballer in the World dreams of winning a prestigious tornament such as the World Cup.

In 1978 Bobby Moore retired from playing professional football. He did not leave the sport altogether but took managing positions at Eastern AA in Hong Kong, Oxford City and Southend. All of these positions were relatively unsuccessful. After the failure of his managing career Bobby took a job a newspaper columnist for the tabloid newspaper, The Sunday Sport.

On the 24th February 1993 Bobby sadly lost his life to cancer. He announced just seven days earlIE that He was suffering from Bowl cancer. His final public appearance was the commentating of the England match agasint Sam Marino. The Bobby Moore Fund is charity set up in Bobby’s honour to raise money for research and treatment of bowl cancer.

At the new Wembley stadium there is a bronze statue erected to pay tribute to Bobby and whathe did for the game.

Zinedine Yazid Zidane is a French Native and is very famous in the Football professional. He was born in Marseilles in France but is born with Algerian heritage. He is said to be one of the greatest footballers in the history of the sport. His name is known all over the World in every country.

At the age of 38, Zinedine Zidane is now retired from professional football. His career started in his home country of France. He started playing Youth football for US Saint-Henri. He first played prefessional football in 1988 for Cannes then went on to play for Bordeaux, Juventus then finished his professional career at Spanish giants Real Madrid. The highlight of Zindanes career is thought to be during the FIFA World Cup 1998. The game and competition was won by France. The final was played in the Stade de France where Zindane scored 2 goals both by headers and was later known as the National hero.

Algeria and France both consider Zidane to be a citizen of their country but was ineligible to play for Algeria for un disclosed reasons. The reason the player states is that he had already played for France. His International career first started when he played for the French under 21′s. In 1994 he started for the first and his career lasted for 10 years. He scored 31 goals whilst playing for France, not bad for an attacking midfielder.

His last season with Real Madrid made him the highest paid player ever. As well as his footballing salary he also made a lot of money from endorsing products such as Adidas, Lego and Audi just to name a few.

Wayne Mark Rooney is a very talented young football player. He is known on the pitch for his skillful feet and his hot head. He is known to have quite a temper. Wayne was born on the 24th October 1985 in the Liverpool Suburb of Croxeth. Wayne was brought up by both parents and lived with them and his brothers.

Wayne’s career started at the very young age of just 10 years old. He first started playing for the Everton Youth team and made is professional debut in 2002. He carried on playing for Everton until 2004. It was always an honour for Wayne to play for Everton as that was the team he supported as a young boy.

In 2004 he was sold to Manchester United for 26.6 million pounds. He moved to the World famous club in the summer transfer window. He has won several titles with his time with Manchester United including the Premier League three times, Champions League 2007-2008 and two League Cups. As well as winning these titles he also won the Footballer player of the year 2009-2010. He has also scored several huge marketing campaigns with Nike and coca cola.

Wayne started his International career in the UEFA Euro 2004 competition and soon became the competitions youngest goal score. Wayne is also famous in the news and tabloids due to him being married to his Wife Colleen. She is a famous for TV presenting and her fashion sense. They also have a son who is one years old. The have been together since.

David Robert Joseph Beckham is one of the Worlds most famous football stars. As well as being famous on the football feild he is also very famous in the celebrity World. He was born on the 2nd of May 1975 in Leytonstone. David Beckham has had much success with his football career but has also coached, acted and modelled. He is a very popular personality around the World this maybe due to the fact he is married to Victoria Beckham who was in the girl band the Spice Girls. They have three sons, Brooklyn, Cruz and Romeo.

David started playing football at a very young age and was encouraged by his dad. His footballing career started when he first played for Brimsdown Rovers and then moved on to the Tottenham Hotspur Youth Team. He made his professional debut for Manchester United in 1992 aged just 17. He had a lot of success playing as an outfield player for Manchester United. Whilst playing for the team they won the Premier League six times, The FA Cup twice and the UEFA Champions League once in 1999.

As well as playing for a Premiership side David also played International football for his home country, England. He started his England career playing for the Under 18′s side in 1992 but moved to the Under 21′s in 1994. His first team England career started in 1996 and he still plays International football today. He went on to captain England making 115 appearances and captained the team on 58 occasions. He was not picked for the International side in the 2010 World Cup, but was a coach for the squad.
