Brazilian Ace Ronaldo

Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima also known as Ronaldo is a World Champion professional football star. He was born In Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He has been playing football from an early age on the streets of Brazil.

He is one of the most prolific goal scorers in the World due to is position as striker. He has played in many professional teams. His career started in 1993 and is still playing today. Over the years he has played in many professional teams across the globe including Cruzeiro, PSV, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Milan. At the age of 33 he is still playing professional football for Corinthians. This is a relatively unknown Brazilian side but are one of the most successful in Brazil.

Ronaldo has won many championships and awards throughout his career including Ballon d’Or European footballer of the year 1997 and again in 2002, FIFA player of the year 3 times and was named one of the eleven best starting players by France football. He has also be named in the FIFA 100 a list of all the greatest footballing stars. This list was compiled in 2010 and also listed players such as Pele.

Ronaldo has suffered from some injury’s over the years including a ruptured kneecap ligament at the end of his last season with Milan. After his injury his contract was not renewed.

The international début for Ronaldo came in 1994. He was just 17 when he travelled to the US to participate in the World Cup he never played in this game but this was just the start of his international career.
